The Vagus Nerve

Why is the Vagus nerve so special and admirable?
I researched a bit and was pleasantly surprised.
I chose to share with you what I discovered, and maybe you, too, will see why the Vagus nerve is so special and fascinating.
The Vagus nerve, unlike other cranial nerves limited to the head and neck, extends beyond its expected boundaries, winding its way down from the skull to the chest and abdomen.
It earned its name due to its wandering nature, deviating from its original course.
An imbalance in the Vagus nerve can impact various organs and potentially lead to diseases or chronic conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, endometriosis, hypothyroidism, lupus, heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, diabetes, chronic fatigue syndromes (fibromyalgia), depression, concentration and memory difficulties, migraines, unexplained chronic pain, anxiety, fertility problems, irritable bowel syndrome, and constipation.
The Vagus nerve responds to our emotional state, influencing organ reactions and transmitting signals of stress, anxiety, or calmness to the brain.
While it doesn't directly prevent diseases, it contributes to overall well-being and can aid in healing. Activation of the Vagus nerve releases oxytocin ("love hormone") and increases compassion, empathy, and altruism in meaningful social relationships.
In fact, rebalancing it can be achieved quite easily.
Restoring balance in the Vagus nerve greatly enhances our overall well-being.
By stimulating the Vagus we can become happier, more stable, healthier people with better intuition and responsiveness.
The following can disrupt the balance of the Vagus nerve:
Poor nutrition, lack of sleep, mental states of great stress and tension, and continuous anxiety.
Life of chronic extreme pain also affects the balance of the vagus nerve.
Maybe some of these stress factors are familiar to you as well./ Do they also exist in your life?
Most of the time? sometimes?
If we balance our Vagus nerve and strengthen it, we can improve the functions of the body's organs and promote and accelerate our body's ability to heal.
Normal functioning of the vagus nerve is critical to recovery from any illness.
The Vagus nerve can be balanced in several natural ways: Take care of a pet, pet (dogs are great), practice deep breathing once a day, listening to music, live/travel in nature in a green area, find social support and meet friends, do things that make you happy and are meaningful to you, increase the amount of physical contact you receive daily, hugs for example, receive physical contact treatments such as massage or Reflexology.
From my experience with my clients, Energetic reflexology relaxes your body like magic.
How does this actually happen?
My pressures on reflex points in the feet directly and immediately affect the systems in the body and balance them:
Circulatory system and heart, Skeletal and Muscular system, Lymphatic System, Hormonal system, Nervous system, Digestive System, Respiratory system.
In addition - pressing an energetic point between the toe and the second toe, which directly affects the Vagus nerve and balances it.
Pressing and massaging in circular movements the reflex point of the solar plexus helps to release a lot of tension from there.
Holding the heels to convey a message that you have a stable and secure base, a safe place within yourself.
Sending healing energies of Reiki and Theta Healing that help to calm you in a very deep emotional and energetic way.
The touch, the pressures on reflex points and the sending of the powerful healing energies of Reiki and Theta Healing, therefore balance each of these systems and especially calm the mechanism of Fight-Fright-Flight.
All of these transmit to the body that it is possible to relax, physically, emotionally and energetically, and even in a very deep way than you are used to.
When the Vagus nerve is balanced, the blood pressure stabilizes, the immune system is functioning and its killer cells are at peak efficiency, the breathing rate corrects itself and slows down.
Kidney function improves, it helps lower blood pressure, has a positive effect on blood sugar levels and provides protection against type 2 diabetes.
The sleep pattern improves, the mood improves and balances, the digestive system works, fertility improves.
Our overall health simply becomes better.

What is cortisol?
What happens in your body when its levels rise?
Cortisol is a hormone that is released from the adrenal glands.
It has important roles in the human body such as metabolism, blood pressure regulation, maintaining normal blood sugar levels, protection against infections.
Cortisol is released together with the hormone adrenaline as a response to physical or mental stress and therefore received the nickname the stress hormone.
Too much of it and over time, can cause major health problems.

Hidden communication takes place constantly within our body
We use various forms of communication, including speech, writing, body language, and emotions like laughter, tears, and anger.
Another form of communication is silent yet attentive, where the body constantly listens to our words and thoughts, even acting upon them.
